The Gracious Hand of God
by Harry Kottler, 2005, 18”x 24”, acrylic and collage on clayboard

Facing a difficult decision? Always wait three days (if possible) before you make your decision. Don't rush into action. Write a prayer to God, and see if a clear message comes or visualize yourself in a beautiful nature setting and see a wise being sitting opposite you ( it could be your Guru or Master or it could be yourself, as you would be after becoming completely wise). Have a piece of paper next to you, ask your question to the wise being, and listen. Write down what you hear or sense is the answer. Have faith in God.

Become a Miracle

( a letter in the form of a poem

to a person who needs insight)

Welcome to reality.

God cannot let you down.

All your thoughts quite otherwise

are totally unsound.

God is not a miser

who wants to make you frown.

God is no disaster

though you think He's not around.

Troubled by your circumstance,

you thought He he wasn't there.

You didn't even call Him;

you acted from despair.

You thought of helping others,

but you did not help yourself.

You massaged your confused bleeding heart

and put your brains upon the shelf.

And when you paid for your acts,

you felt guilty and ashamed.

You told your friends it was someone else,

but you alone held blame.

Still, God was looking after you.

He moved you to a place

where you could learn your lessons,

yet be covered by His grace.

Even though you turned from Him,

He lifted you up high.

And now you're less excited,

but you sometimes wonder, “Why?”

The answer is:

He wants you to be vigilant next time.

He thinks the thought, “He is not there!”

is your greatest crime.

He wants you to remember Him

and to ask for His advice.

He doesn't want you stupid;

He only wants you wise.

Friend, become a miracle,

a person who is merged in God.

Now change your ways,

give up your mental haze,

and, in the Lord,

become complete moored.

With love and respect,
